  • To teach children aged 5-14 years how to enjoy the surf safely
  • To provide an opportunity for children to improve their surf and beach skills
  • To train children for a series of awards under the auspices of the Surf Life Saving Australia’s (SLSA) Board of Junior Development which covers: Surf Awareness, Surf Skills, First Aid, Resuscitation
  • To encourage those interested, to use their skills in competition at a series of carnivals held throughout the season
  • To promote friendship, team play and fun while learning valuable lifelong water and surf skills

The week to week activities of each age group are led by age managers. The primary role of an age manager is to educate our junior members about the surf and surf life saving in a friendly, fun and safe environment.
